Destiny 2 Raid and Dungeon Rotation: Reset & Rewards

Check Destiny 2 raid and dungeon rotation, weekly reset time and featured reward rules. Find encounter guides and choose the right full-clear or boss goal.

A Guardian studies a physical star map surrounded by small distinct raid and dungeon portal dioramas, orbital planning room, no writing or calendars.

The raid and dungeon rotation helps you decide where to spend your next Destiny 2 session. Start with the reward you want, check the live activity card, then choose a run that matches it. A full clear, a final boss and a weekly reward objective can be different plans even when they share the same activity.

Reviewed October 14, 2026. This guide explains how to check the rotation and compare its reward rules. It does not publish an unverified list of this week’s featured activities.

Where to Check This Week’s Raids and Dungeons

Open the Raids and Dungeons node on Destinations and inspect the activity you want. Bungie’s support guide explains that the old Legends node has been retired and relevant raids and dungeons now launch from the new node. Current launch and access guidance.

  1. Look for the featured activities in the live menu.
  2. Open the selected card and read its difficulty, reward preview and modifiers.
  3. Check the character and access you will use for the run.
  4. Agree the completion goal before inviting a team or choosing a service.

Read the card again when changing difficulty or joining a different activity. A screenshot from an older week cannot establish the current selection. If a schedule and the live card disagree, use the current in-game information for the run you are about to start.

Weekly Reset Time: Use UTC for a Global Team

Bungie lists the weekly reset on Tuesday at 17:00 UTC. Its Pacific equivalent is 10:00 AM during daylight saving time and 9:00 AM during standard time. Convert 17:00 UTC to your own local time rather than applying the US clock change to every country. Bungie’s ritual reset guide.

When arranging a group, write the date and time zone in the invitation. “After reset” may be clear to regular teammates but less useful to someone in another region. Recheck the live activity after reset before repeating last week’s farming plan.

Featured and Non-Featured Rewards

Bungie’s Update 9.7.0 specifies two featured raids and two featured dungeons each week. The following rewards are farmable unless a weekly lockout is stated. Released rotator framework.

Published rotator reward rules

ActivityReward rule
Featured raid · StandardDeepsight weapons or Tier 5 armor from encounters and challenges.
Featured raid · MasterStandard rewards plus Adept weapons from challenges.
Featured raid · Director ChallengeDeepsight weapon or Tier 5 armor; weekly lockout.
Featured raid · hidden chestsTier 5 armor; weekly lockout.
Non-featured raid · StandardChance for Deepsight weapons and Tier 3 armor.
Non-featured raid · Master, challenges, Deepsight chestDeepsight weapons and Tier 5 armor.
Featured dungeon · Standard or MasterTier 5 weapons and armor.
Featured dungeon · Director Challenge or hidden chestsTier 5 weapons and armor; weekly lockout.
Non-featured dungeon · StandardTier 3 weapons and armor.
Non-featured dungeon · MasterTier 5 weapons and armor.

Read these rules alongside the selected activity’s live preview. A generic Master rule does not mean every activity offers Master. This table summarizes encounter, challenge and chest conditions; it is not a loot pool or a promise of a particular roll.

Choose the Run That Matches Your Goal

An objective-first way to plan a session

Your goalWhat to confirm before launch
Learn the whole activityA complete route, manageable roles and time for retries.
Repeat a specific encounterThe right encounter, selected difficulty and relevant reward pool.
Finish a final bossThat a final-encounter completion covers the goal you actually need.
Work on a TriumphIts exact conditions, including any full-run requirement.
Practise Solo or Solo FlawlessThe difference between a completion and a no-death objective.

Separate the objective from the reward you hope to receive. A named weapon, a perk roll and a completed Triumph each need their own check. Do not treat a successful boss kill as confirmation that all three have been achieved.

For a learning session, pick one activity and agree simple role calls. For repeated runs, keep the plan consistent long enough to see what slows the group down. Switch the strategy when you have identified the problem, rather than changing every loadout after one failed attempt.

Access, Difficulty and the Final Check

Bungie confirms that specific raids and dungeons can still require their corresponding expansion or Dungeon Key. Featured status does not replace that ownership requirement. Raid and dungeon access details.

  1. Confirm the selected activity opens on the intended account.
  2. Read the exact objective or Triumph before committing to the run.
  3. Make sure teammates understand whether the plan is a full clear or a single encounter.
  4. Check the reward preview and choose a reasonable point to stop or reassess.

If the entry screen blocks the activity, resolve that first. Repeatedly rebuilding a loadout will not fix an access mismatch. If the run completes but the intended goal does not, compare the completed scope with the actual objective before starting another identical attempt.

Use an Encounter Guide Before the Run

For raid preparation, read the Root of Nightmares guide or the Crota’s End encounter guide. Choose the guide for your intended activity; these links do not identify this week’s featured raids.

For dungeon preparation, compare Prophecy’s mote and movement route, Warlord’s Ruin cages, charges and Hex and Vesper’s Host augment roles. Use the activity-specific explanation to decide which responsibilities the team should practise first.

Match Your CFNBoost Selection to the Activity

The current raid configurator and dungeon configurator separate named activities and completion goals. Select the exact run you need instead of assuming that one general completion includes every challenge, collectible or random reward.

Piloted means the PRO plays your character; Self-play means you participate on your own character. Supported boosting Self-play adds 20% to the selected Piloted package. Solo dungeon goals remain Piloted only. Review the supported choices and final total in your preferred display currency before adding a service to the cart.

The service catalogue is a list of selectable goals, not a live weekly rotation calendar. Compare your selection with the current activity card and use the Destiny 2 services page to find the relevant route.

Raid and Dungeon Rotation FAQ

Planning a run and checking its scope

Does this page list the live featured activities for today?

No. Open the current Raids and Dungeons menu and check the selected activity card. The linked encounter guides are preparation resources, not a dated weekly schedule.

When is the weekly reset?

Bungie lists Tuesday at 17:00 UTC. Convert that time to your local zone when arranging the group.

Is a last-boss service the same as a full clear?

No. A final-encounter goal and a complete run are different selections. Choose the scope that matches your intended objective.

Should the group change every loadout after one failed run?

First identify the failed step or unclear responsibility. Change one part of the plan and compare the next attempt.

Can I use an older rotation screenshot to choose today’s run?

Recheck the live activity card. Older screenshots can describe a previous selection and do not establish the current one.

Does a completion package include every Triumph and reward?

Read the selected scope. A complete run, optional goal and desired random drop are separate checks; a completion is not a blanket promise of all rewards.

Is Self-play offered for a solo dungeon goal?

No. Current solo dungeon objectives are Piloted only. Use the configurator to check participation for group objectives.

Where should I check the current price?

Select the activity and completion goal in the relevant configurator and review the final total in your preferred display currency.
