AION 2 Transcendence Guide: Dungeons, Stages, Rewards
Everything we could verify about AION 2 Transcendence on Global servers: the two Season 1 dungeons, stage gates, rank grades, Arcana drops and the leaderboard.
AION 2 Transcendence is the ranked, stage-based party dungeon mode that sits above Expeditions, and on Global NA/EU servers it currently means two dungeons: Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis. You clear a stage, get graded, and earn Arcana and upgrade materials from an Odyle Energy cube, while your clears also count toward the launch leaderboard that closes on November 2, 2026.
What AION 2 Transcendence actually is
Transcendence is AION 2's ranked party dungeon mode. Where an Expedition is a dungeon you clear for loot, a Transcendence dungeon is split into numbered stages, each run is graded, and your clears feed a seasonal ranking. Think of it as the step above the content in our AION 2 dungeon guide, not a replacement for it.
On Global NA/EU servers, Season 1 Transcendence uses two dungeons: Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis. Those are the two NCSoft named for the launch leaderboard event, and they are the only two with live loot tables in the global client right now.
Global client data also lists Submerged Life Temple, Mirror of Scarlet Desire and Abyssal Horn Den. MetaBot reports that Submerged Life Temple is scheduled for Season 2 starting December 16, 2026, but NCSoft has not announced that date in a notice, so treat it as a datamined schedule that can change.
How to unlock Transcendence and the stage gates
Stages are gated by your total equipped item level, not by a quest. If you are still short, the AION 2 leveling guide and the gearing guide cover how to get to max level and push item level efficiently.

These gates come from MetaBot's reading of the global client. NCSoft has not published them in a notice. Korean servers use a different stage history, so ignore KR guides that list ten stages or 1,200 item level entries.
Item level only gets you in the door. Community testing indicates that you also need a top grade on a stage before the next one opens, so a team sitting at 2,500 item level still has to climb stage by stage.
Entries, reward counts and Odyle Energy
This is the part with the most conflicting information online, so we will be careful. NCSoft's leaderboard notice does not publish an entry limit, and we found no official Global notice that states one.
What the global client shows, per MetaBot, is a Transcendence reward count that refills by 1 every 12 hours, capped at 14. Refills above the cap are wasted. Some guides describe this as a flat weekly cap of 14 runs, but the client data points to a rolling refill instead. Neither version is confirmed by NCSoft.
- Rewards come from an Odyle Energy cube at the end of the run, and opening it spends Odyle Energy. One wiki reports the Global cube costs 40 Odyle Energy (not confirmed by NCSoft).
- The client also tracks a weekly "Remaining Unobtained Cube Count." MetaBot reports that skipping cubes in Conquest or Transcendence lowers it, and at zero you are locked out of those dungeons until the weekly reset.
- The exact weekly reset time for Transcendence is not stated in any official source we could read. Check the reset timer on the Transcendence panel in game.
Our practical advice: do not let your reward count sit at the cap, and always open the cube when you have the Odyle Energy for it. Skipping cubes is the easiest way to lose access for the rest of the week.
Stages, ranks and difficulty
Each stage of a dungeon uses the same map and bosses but adds stronger stats and extra effects as you climb. MetaBot lists per-stage affixes from client data, and higher stages are where groups usually start wiping on mechanics instead of damage checks.
When you finish, the completion screen gives a grade. Based on MetaBot's reading of the scoring and on player reports, the grade depends on how fast you kill the boss and whether anyone dies. Clean, fast clears are what move you up the ladder and what count most for Rank Points on the leaderboard.

Rewards: Arcana and upgrade materials
The big reason to run Transcendence every week is Arcana. MetaBot reports each Season 1 loot table holds 24 Arcana cards across Common, Rare, Epic and Unique grades, and Transcendence is where the higher grades are most realistic to farm. Arcana slot into your build and directly raise your power, which ties straight into the combat power guide.
The two dungeons do not drop the same families. Players report Deus Research Base gives Bell, Compass and Chalice cards, while Shattered Arkanis gives Mirror, Parchment and Chalice cards. If your build needs a specific family, pick the dungeon that drops it instead of splitting runs evenly.

The Transcendence leaderboard: dates and rewards
NCSoft's Community Launch Events include a Transcendence leaderboard on Deus Research Base and Shattered Arkanis. It started September 30 on Advance Access servers and October 5 on launch servers, and participation ends November 2, 2026. That is less than a week from today, so if you want a top spot, this is the final push.
Rankings are per server and per class. You can check yours with ESC > Transcendence > Rank > Class. Top rankers are announced November 9, and rewards go to account mail no later than November 16. NCSoft notes it can change or cancel the event.

NCSoft did not publish how many Rank Points each stage is worth, so we cannot tell you the exact score you need. Highest stage, clean grade and speed are what we see moving ranks.
Party setup and role tips
Players report Transcendence accepts parties of 2 to 5. The standard five-person setup is one tank, one healer, one support and two DPS. Smaller groups work on stage 1, but they make the timer harder on later stages.
- Tank: Templar or Gladiator. Hold bosses still and face them away from the group, because many affixes punish movement and cleaves.
- Healer: Cleric. Deaths hurt your grade, so play safe and keep resurrection items stocked.
- Support: Chanter. Buff uptime matters more here than in Expeditions because grades reward speed.
- DPS: Save burst for boss phases. Players report Atiel has a stagger check near the end of the fight, so hold control skills for it.
Stick with one group. Practiced teams clear faster and die less, and that beats a higher item level random party when grades are on the line.
Fitting Transcendence into your weekly routine

- Check your reward count and Odyle Energy before you queue.
- Run the highest stage your group can clear cleanly, and open every cube.
- Focus the dungeon that drops the Arcana family your build needs.
- Spend reward counts before they hit the cap so refills are not wasted.
