AION 2 Ludra Returns November 4: Normal vs Hard, Item Level & Rewards
Ludra Sanctuary returns to AION 2 on November 4 with reworked mechanics. Normal needs 2,800 item level, Hard needs 3,000. Dates, Ludra Hunt titles, events and how to prepare.
Ludra Sanctuary, the 10-player raid NC pulled from AION 2 at the Global launch, comes back on November 4, 2026. It returns with reworked mechanics, two difficulties that open on day one, and a three-week title race. This guide covers what NC has confirmed, what is still unknown, and how to get your character ready before the gates open.

Why Ludra was removed and what changes
NC removed Ludra from the Global launch build on October 5. Early Access players had cleared it at a much lower progression level than the team intended, so the raid was taken back for a rework. NC says the returning version keeps Ludra's core identity but adds new and adjusted mechanics and attack patterns.
Players who cleared Ludra during Early Access get their earlier Ludra gear back, and the upgrade materials they spent on it are reimbursed. Europe-region Early Access clearers also receive a unique title. NC reset the in-game Hall of Fame for the relaunch, so every region starts the race from zero.
Normal vs Hard: which mode should you run?

For most players, Normal is the realistic first step. When NC announced the return, very few Global characters were near these gates. Endgame Tools' tracking of NC's character armory on October 21 found only one tracked level-45 character at 2,800 item level and none at 3,000. That will move quickly once Hard Expeditions and the new Ariel progression settle in, but it means the early Hard race will be decided by a small group of heavily geared players.
Ludra Hunt titles and dates
The Ludra Hunt runs from the November 4 maintenance until the November 25 maintenance (November 24 in the Americas). There are five separate regional races: Europe, NA East, NA West, South America and Asia.

The top three titles carry a purple decorative effect. NC says titles are delivered by December 2 at 11:59 PM PST, and clears after the November 25 maintenance do not count.
Events running alongside the return
- Ludra Conquest Check-In (November 4 – November 17 PST): log in once a day to unlock seven rewards over a 14-day window, including Bound Kina, Abyss Points, Soul Crystals, Centuryroot Tokens, Phantasmal Fragments and the Lush Leaf Tiara helmet.
- Odyle Energy Boost (October 28 – November 10 PST): two Odyle Energy per character by daily mail. Each mail expires after seven days, so claim it.
- Daeva Bootcamp: server-wide milestones for total dungeon clears, including Conquest runs of Krao Cave, Draupnir, Urugugu Canyon and Vakron Sky Island. Rewards are mailed to every player.
- Twitch Drops (November 4 – November 18): one reward per hour watched, up to 14 hours.
What is still unconfirmed
- Weekly entry limits and the reset schedule for the reworked raid.
- Boss-by-boss mechanics. In Early Access the route was the Abyssal Reactor, Rahu and Ketu split across two five-player groups, then Ludra himself. NC says patterns have changed, so treat older Early Access guides as a starting point only.
- The full Normal and Hard loot tables.

How to prepare before November 4
- Check your item level, not just Combat Power. The gate is item level: 2,800 for Normal and 3,000 for Hard.
- Use the next week of Hard Krao Cave and Draupnir runs. They feed Ariel progression and upgrade materials, and they are the fastest structured route to higher item level right now.
- Claim the Odyle Energy mails from October 28 and stock up on Resurrection Spiritstones before raid night.
- Lock in a 10-player group early. Both modes open at once, so the first evening will be crowded.
- Plan your Hard attempt around the title race. Ranked titles go to the first 20 Hard parties per region, so the first few days matter most.
