Destiny 2 Wish-Keeper: Starcrossed, Refits & Crafting

Find Starcrossed, unlock Wish-Keeper crafting, compare all four Catalyst Refits and their level gates, and check Snareweaver upgrades and Suspend mechanics.

Game:Destiny 2GuidesPublished: By CFNBoost
An ornate dark organic strand bow with emerald energy string among Dreaming City stonework and luminous dragon-shaped constellations.

Wish-Keeper is a craftable Strand Exotic Combat Bow associated with Starcrossed. Precision hits and final blows charge a hip-fired Snareweaver arrow, which lays traps that suspend enemies. Its four Catalyst Refits specialize that setup in different ways.

Reviewed October 15, 2026. This guide separates obtaining the bow, unlocking its Pattern, acquiring Snareweaver upgrades and installing a Refit. Current recipe requirements support that distinction; owning the weapon does not automatically unlock every crafting option.

Where to Launch Starcrossed Now

Bungie Help lists Starcrossed among the available Exotic missions, classed as Pinnacle Ops. These missions support up to three players and are accessed through their destination or the Director’s Ops categories. Current official activity list.

Update 9.7.0 retired the old Exotic Rotator in favor of Pinnacle Ops and moved Ops categories into the Director. A Season of the Wish H.E.L.M. screenshot is therefore not a reliable current launch instruction. Delivered Director and Rotator changes.

Find Starcrossed in Pinnacle Ops, select the version you intend to play and review its access and difficulty settings. The current activity definitions allow one to three players without automatic matchmaking. Bring your own team if you want help; a three-player capacity is not a matchmaking promise. Current activity definitions.

Get Wish-Keeper, Then Check Its Pattern

Complete Starcrossed and inspect its associated weapon reward. The current bow’s source is the Starcrossed mission. Its separate Pattern record needs one Deepsight extraction, and its crafting recipe requires the Pattern to be unlocked. Use the reward’s Deepsight option when available, then confirm the Pattern before visiting the Enclave. Official bow, recipe and Pattern definitions.

Four separate progression checks

GoalWhat you are checkingNext action
Obtain the bowWish-Keeper is owned.Inspect its Deepsight and Pattern status.
Unlock craftingThe Pattern is unlocked.Shape or reshape at the Enclave.
Upgrade SnareweaverII, III or IV has been acquired.Choose the unlocked intrinsic in the recipe.
Install a Catalyst RefitThe Refit is acquired and its level gate is met.Apply one choice in the Catalyst slot.

If the crafting screen says the Pattern is missing, more weapon levels will not replace it. If it says an intrinsic or Catalyst has not been acquired, that is an unlock requirement. If it shows a weapon-level requirement, the unlock and the level gate are different checks.

Starcrossed Mechanics: Sparks, Symbols and Akardon

Compact mission route

SectionMain mechanicCheck before moving on
Opening branchesShoot the plant buds to extend platforms.Cross the chasm before pushing onward.
Sire’s ObligationUse the white spark to damage marked shielded Phalanxes.Read exit symbols from top to bottom.
Dam’s GiftCollect the orange spark before entering orange mist.Refresh it before the protection expires.
TerminalsDefeat each guarding Wyvern and interact with its terminal.Finish all three, then clear the Gate Lord.
Combined buffsCollect both sparks for Crowned by Dragons.Resolve the next Phalanx locks in their displayed order.
AkardonMaintain Crowned by Dragons and clear shielding Goblins.Refresh at the arena-side sparks when needed.
CompletionDefeat Akardon, Pitiless Mind, and claim the mission reward.Inspect the bow and Pattern progress.

Sam Chandler’s illustrated Starcrossed route.

Use the symbols displayed by the current lock rather than memorizing a left-to-right kill order from an old clip. In a group, let one player read the order aloud while another watches the buff timer. If your damage stops working, inspect your active buff before wasting more ammunition.

Keep a route back to the spark when fighting inside the mist. Move out to refresh and regroup before the protection expires. A controlled first clear teaches the interaction; chasing a time estimate before understanding the sparks can cause more resets.

Intrinsic and Catalyst Rewards in the Current Version

Delivered Update 9.5.0 states that the Ops versions of Exotic missions can award their associated weapons, Catalysts and intrinsics. It does not provide a Wish-Keeper-specific table of exact completion counts or difficulty thresholds. Official delivered Exotic-mission reward update.

For an upgrade attempt, use a higher difficulty you can complete consistently, then inspect the actual unlocks after the mission. Keep a note of the Snareweaver tiers and Refits still missing. This review does not establish an exact current grade, guaranteed unlock order or fixed number of runs for all four Refits.

The original Constellation quests used Wish-Keeper to reveal star messages and required Legend Starcrossed completions. They explain old guides and videos; they are not presented here as today’s required Mara pickup checklist. Historical Constellation route.

Older launch-week secret-chest and constellation routes should be matched to the version you are playing. A mid-activity gear chest and a specific intrinsic unlock are not automatically the same reward. After a clear, inspect the Enclave’s unlock messages before repeating an old seasonal detour.

Snareweaver II, III and IV

The current crafting recipe contains the base Snareweaver intrinsic and separate II, III and IV upgrades. Each upgraded entry has an intrinsic-acquisition gate. The names are not three additional Catalyst sockets, and leveling the bow does not by itself satisfy that acquisition requirement. Current recipe intrinsic choices.

Once an upgrade is acquired, inspect the intrinsic selection while reshaping. Use the highest available tier that suits your materials and setup, and review which other recipe options it opens. This guide does not assign unsupported charge-rate or damage percentages to those tier labels.

All Four Catalyst Refits and Weapon-Level Gates

Choose one unlocked Refit

RefitCurrent effectRecipe requirement
Enduring Snare RefitTraps remain active longer.Catalyst acquired; no additional numbered level gate in this recipe entry.
Multi-Threaded Snare RefitTraps can suspend more enemies.Catalyst acquired + weapon level 4.
Vorpal Weapon RefitMore damage against bosses, vehicles and Guardians in active Supers.Catalyst acquired + weapon level 7.
Hatchling RefitPrecision final blows or rapid defeats create a Threadling at the target.Catalyst acquired + weapon level 10.

These four Refits occupy one recipe slot. Unlocking them all expands the alternatives; it does not activate all four effects simultaneously. The current Hatchling Refit uses the normal effect, not the separate enhanced Hatchling description with a chance of extra Threadlings. Official Refit effects and crafting requirements.

Start with the effect that solves your problem: Enduring for trap coverage over time, Multi-Threaded for groups entering the trap, Vorpal for the listed target types or Hatchling for a kill-based Threadling option. These are use-case suggestions rather than a claim that one choice is best for every activity.

Apply the Refit at the Enclave

Shape or reshape the crafted bow, select an acquired intrinsic and choose one available Refit. Check the material total before confirming. The current Catalyst completion record tracks applying a Catalyst through shaping or reshaping, with a one-step objective; it is not a generic 500- or 700-kill masterwork task. Official Catalyst application record.

If a Refit stays locked, read the reason shown: Catalyst not yet acquired and weapon level too low have different solutions. Return to the acquisition activity for a missing unlock; level the crafted weapon when its level requirement is the remaining gate.

Snareweaver and Silkbound Slayer

Build the trap and benefit from Suspend

EffectCurrent triggerPractical use
SnareweaverPrecision hits and final blows charge a special hip-fired arrow.Place its trap where enemies will reach it.
Silkbound SlayerThe bow benefits against suspended targets; suspending a target or damaging one grants faster draw for a short period.Coordinate Suspend with follow-up shots.

The charged Snareweaver arrow fires from the hip. Read your meter before a hip-fired shot so you place the trap where it helps. The listed trigger is not an instruction to use a special reload. Silkbound Slayer can respond to Suspend from another source as well as the bow’s own trap. Current intrinsic and trait descriptions.

Practice the aimed precision shots, deliberate hip-fired trap and follow-up draw rhythm on a group you can see clearly. A trap that controls an approach may help the team more than one placed directly under a target about to die.

Related Guides and Current Service Scope

The Weapon Crafting Guide explains the shaping process. For other mission weapons with separate unlocks and upgrades, see Choir of One and Vexcalibur.

The reviewed Destiny 2 catalogue and Exotics service do not list a named Wish-Keeper or Starcrossed package. A purchase for another weapon does not include this bow, all intrinsic upgrades or the four Refits.

Wish-Keeper FAQ

Starcrossed, crafting and Catalyst questions

Where does Wish-Keeper come from?

Its current official source is the Starcrossed mission, which Bungie Help lists as an available Exotic mission.

Should I wait for the old Exotic Rotator?

The delivered Director update retires that Rotator in favor of Pinnacle Ops. Look for the current Starcrossed activity.

Why can I own the bow but not craft it?

The recipe separately requires an unlocked Pattern. Check the one-extraction Pattern record and the reward’s Deepsight option.

Are Snareweaver upgrades the same as Catalysts?

No. II, III and IV are intrinsic choices; the four Refits are alternatives in the separate Catalyst slot.

Can all four Refits be active together?

No. The current recipe provides one Refit slot with four alternatives.

What levels do the Refits require?

Multi-Threaded requires level 4, Vorpal level 7 and Hatchling level 10, as well as the corresponding acquired Catalyst.

How many kills complete the Catalyst record?

Its current record tracks applying a Catalyst through shaping or reshaping, not a weapon-kill count.

Do I need to hold reload to fire Snareweaver?

The current intrinsic charges through precision hits and final blows and fires the charged arrow from the hip. It does not specify a special-reload activation.
