ARC Raiders Stash Upgrades: Costs, Levels and 328 Cap
Every ARC Raiders stash level from 64 to 328 slots, what each upgrade costs, which ones to buy first, and the storage you can get outside the coin cap.
ARC Raiders stash upgrades take you from the starting 64 slots to a maximum of 328 slots in twelve levels, and every level adds 24 slots. The first nine upgrades are cheap, but the last two, added with the Frozen Trail update on October 8, 2026, cost more coins than levels 2 to 10 combined. Here is every level and its cost, which upgrades to buy first, and the extra storage you can get outside the coin levels.
How the ARC Raiders stash works in 2026
Your stash is everything you keep in Speranza between raids: weapons, mods, materials, trinkets and quest items. Every account starts with 64 slots. You expand it from the inventory: open your Stash and use the Expand option, pay the coin cost and the new row of slots is there straight away. There is no crafting step, no project and no level requirement for the standard upgrades.
Each upgrade adds 24 slots, and there are twelve stash levels in total. Before Frozen Trail, the stash stopped at level 10 with 280 slots. Embark's Frozen Trail patch notes added two more levels and put the new limit at 328 slots without Expedition bonuses, which matters because Expedition rewards can push you past that number.
Coin upgrades stay on your account between seasons. The one thing that has reset them is departing on an Expedition, which puts the stash back to 64 slots plus any Expedition bonus you have earned. Expeditions are paused until early 2027, so the coins you put into the stash now are safe, but it still pays to know where the expensive jumps are before you click Expand.
Every stash level and its coin cost
The costs for levels 2 to 10 have not changed since launch. The prices for levels 11 and 12 are what players and guide writers report from the game after Frozen Trail; Embark's notes give the new cap but not the prices, so check the number on your Expand button before you farm toward it.
ARC Raiders stash levels and coin costs (checked Nov 1, 2026)
| Stash level | Total slots | Upgrade cost (coins) | Total spent (coins) |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 88 | 5,000 | 5,000 |
| 3 | 112 | 10,000 | 15,000 |
| 4 | 136 | 15,000 | 30,000 |
| 5 | 160 | 25,000 | 55,000 |
| 6 | 184 | 40,000 | 95,000 |
| 7 | 208 | 60,000 | 155,000 |
| 8 | 232 | 90,000 | 245,000 |
| 9 | 256 | 130,000 | 375,000 |
| 10 | 280 | 300,000 | 675,000 |
| 11 | 304 | 750,000 (player-reported) | 1,425,000 |
| 12 | 328 | 1,500,000 (player-reported) | 2,925,000 |
Look at the jumps. Level 10 alone costs more than levels 2 to 9 together, and level 12 costs twice as much as level 11. Per slot, the first upgrade costs about 208 coins, level 10 about 12,500, level 11 about 31,250 and level 12 about 62,500. That is the whole case for buying them in order and not rushing the last two.
Which stash upgrades to buy first
We split the stash into three stages. The goal is to never be the Raider who skips a good weapon case because there is nowhere to put the loot, without starving the rest of your progression of coins.
- Levels 2 to 5 (88 to 160 slots, 55,000 coins in total): buy these as soon as you can. They cost less than a single good raid's worth of loot later on, and 160 slots is the point where the stash stops feeling cramped for a new player.
- Levels 6 to 8 (184 to 232 slots, 190,000 coins more): buy these once your Workshop benches are moving and you start keeping materials for blueprints and projects. If you are saving for a specific bench upgrade, finish that first.
- Levels 9 and 10 (256 to 280 slots, 430,000 coins more): the comfortable end state for most players. At 280 slots you can keep a full set of project materials, spare loadouts and a shelf of trinkets without sorting after every raid.
- Levels 11 and 12 (304 to 328 slots, about 2,250,000 coins more): only once everything else you want is done. They are the most expensive 48 slots in the game.
Levels 11 and 12: is the 328 cap worth it?
For most Raiders, not yet. The two new levels add 48 slots for roughly 2.25 million coins. For the same storage problem you can often free 20 or more slots for free by recycling duplicates, selling trinkets you have no project for and moving weapons into the Outpost.
Buying stash levels 11 and 12
Pros
- Slots stay on your account, and no Expedition reset is coming before early 2027
- Room to hold materials for several projects and events at once
- Useful for collectors who keep one copy of every blueprint-crafted weapon
Cons
- Most expensive slots in the game: about 31,250 and 62,500 coins per slot
- Coins spent here are not spent on benches, blueprints or projects
- Outpost storage and better sorting solve the same problem for free
Our take: go to 304 if you play every day and are already rich in coins, and leave 328 for when you genuinely have nothing else to buy. If you want the slots without the grind, our ARC Raiders Coins Delivery or a stash package covers it.
Extra storage outside the coin levels
The 328 cap only counts the coin levels. Three other systems add room, and each works differently.
Stash space beyond the coin upgrades
| Source | What you get | What to know |
|---|---|---|
| Completed Expeditions | Permanent bonus stash slots for each completed Expedition (players report 12 per Expedition) | Not counted in the 328 cap. Expeditions are paused until early 2027 while Embark reworks the system, so no new bonus is coming before then. |
| Ermal's trader expansions | Extra stash rows bought by trading in high-value items instead of coins | A separate offer in the trader menu with its own conditions. Read the tooltip on your account to see whether the slots are temporary. |
| Outpost furniture | Weapon racks, shelves and cupboards that hold items outside the stash | Unlocked through the Sheltered Retreat project. A weapon on a rack frees one stash slot; it is storage, not extra stash slots. |
The Outpost is the most underrated of the three. Racks hold three or four weapons each depending on the design, and shelves hold more. If your stash is full of weapons you keep for one specific map or boss, they belong on a rack. Our ARC Raiders Outpost guide explains how to unlock it and what each room costs.
What happened to the Expedition Vault
Frozen Trail introduced an Expedition Vault, a set of paid slots that carried items through an Expedition reset. It did not last. In Live Update 2.3.0 on October 27, 2026, Embark disabled the Vault, moved everything inside it into players' stashes and handed out Bronze Statuettes as compensation for the slots people had bought.
Two practical things follow. First, if your stash suddenly looked over-full after 2.3.0, that is the Vault contents arriving: sort them before your next raid. Second, keep the Bronze Statuettes until you know what you want from the traders, because traders accept them in barter offers and a quick sale throws that option away.
How to live with a smaller stash
Until you can afford level 10, a tidy stash is worth more than a big one. This is the routine we use after every few raids.
- Recycle duplicates first. Keep one or two spares of each weapon and mod you use and break down the rest into materials you actually need.
- Sell trinkets with no job. Only keep trinkets that a current project, quest or trade asks for. The rest are coins, and coins are stash levels.
- Stack materials toward a goal. Keep the components for your next bench or blueprint, not a bit of everything.
- Move weapons to the Outpost. Racks are free storage once the Outpost is unlocked.
- Buy the next cheap level. If you are still under 160 slots, one upgrade fixes more than an hour of sorting.

ARC Raiders stash FAQ
What is the max stash size in ARC Raiders?
328 slots from coin upgrades, reached at stash level 12. Embark raised the cap from 280 to 328 with the Frozen Trail update on October 8, 2026. Completed Expedition bonuses and trader expansions can add space on top of that number.
How much does it cost to max the stash in ARC Raiders?
About 2,925,000 coins from the starting 64 slots to 328. Levels 2 to 10 cost 675,000 coins in total, and players report 750,000 for level 11 and 1,500,000 for level 12. Check the cost on the Expand button in your game before farming toward it.
How do you upgrade your stash in ARC Raiders?
Open your inventory in Speranza, go to the Stash and use the Expand option. Each upgrade costs coins, adds 24 slots and takes effect immediately. There is no level requirement for the standard upgrades.
How many slots does each stash upgrade add?
24 slots per level. You start at 64 slots and reach 88, 112, 136 and so on up to 280 at level 10, 304 at level 11 and 328 at level 12.
Does Outpost storage count as stash space?
No. Outpost racks and shelves hold items outside your stash, so a weapon on a rack frees a stash slot, but the stash limit itself does not change.
What happened to the Expedition Vault in ARC Raiders?
Live Update 2.3.0 on October 27, 2026 disabled it. Items stored in the Vault were moved to the stash, and players who had bought Vault slots received Bronze Statuettes as compensation.
