WoW 12.1.5 Guide: Kith'ix Raid, Labyrinth & Venomstones
WoW patch 12.1.5 is live. Here is how to unlock the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan, what the Kith'ix raid offers, where Ascendant Venomstones drop and what to do first.
WoW patch 12.1.5 is Midnight's Season 2 mid-season update, and it went live on October 13, 2026. It adds a single-boss raid against Kith'ix, the solo Labyrinth of Kindo'jan, a new item-level push through Ascendant Venomstones, Aqir Invasions and the final chapter of the Quel'Thalas and Zul'Aman story. Here is what each piece does, how to unlock it and what is worth your time this week.
What is in WoW 12.1.5
12.1.5 is not a new season. Your Season 2 gear, crests and Mythic+ rating all carry on. What changes is the ceiling: there is a new raid boss, a new solo endgame activity and a new way to push your best items past the normal upgrade cap.

The Unbinding of Kith'ix raid
Kith'ix is a C'Thraxxi general that the Amani sealed away beneath the Coiled Isle. With Ula'tek defeated, the bindings are failing, and you fight him with Lady Liadrin at your side. The raid is a single boss, so a full clear is one pull plan rather than a long progression path.
It comes in five difficulties: Story Mode, Raid Finder, Normal, Heroic and Mythic. Mythic uses a flexible group of 15 to 25 players, which is good news for guilds that struggle to field a full 20. Heroic and Mythic kills also drop Ascendant Venomstones, so the boss is worth killing every week even after you have the loot you want.
If you are still working on the main Season 2 raid, our Midnight Heroic raid guide covers routes, loot and the AOTC goal.
How to unlock the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan
The Labyrinth is an old Amani funeral complex north of Amani Pass in Eversong Woods. Think of it as a Delve stretched into a mega-dungeon: nine chambers, a companion, its own progression and Mythic gear in the reward pool. Blizzard describes it as a Tier 11 solo challenge, so bring gear and consumables you would use for top-tier Delves.
- Accept "The Long Way Around" from Lady Liadrin above Thresh Cove, or "The Labyrinth" from Kul'amara the Fierce at Tokka's Landing on the Coiled Isle.
- At the entrance, take "Dangers Untold and Hardships Unnumbered" from Valeera Sanguinar.
- Clear the Chamber of Rites, then speak to the spirit guide Kinduru to open the remaining chambers.
- From then on the full Labyrinth is unlocked for you and your whole Warband, so alts skip the intro.
You do not have to finish it in one sitting. You can clear one wing at a time and still get rewards, while every extra room you complete adds more loot and more risk. Our advice: clear one wing on your first night to learn Valeera's kit and the enemy types, then push deeper once your companion and gear are ready.
Ascendant Venomstones and the mid-season gear push
The mid-season refresh is run by Orin Straylight in Silvermoon City, and it was released in weekly steps. All of them are live now, so you can do the whole chain in one go if you missed it.
- Accept "In the Catalyst's Shadow" from Decimus in Voidstorm, then "Prismatic Potential" from Orin.
- "Umbral Blessings of the Catalyst" lets you trade gold, Voidlight Marl or Veteran Mistcrests for one extra Nebulous Voidcore a week, an extra bonus roll.
- "Ancient Depths, Ancient Venom" starts Orin's research into Ascendant Venomstones.
- "Ascending with Venomstones" finishes the chain and lets Venomstones start dropping.
Ascendant Venomstones drop from four places:
- Every Heroic or Mythic raid boss, Kith'ix included
- Mythic+ keystones at +10 and above
- Tier 11 Bountiful Delves
- Nightmare Prey Hunt Champion gear chests
Collect 10 Venomstones and use them at the Catalyst in Silvermoon City to raise the item level of one item. It only works on a fully upgraded Season 2 Hero or Myth item, or a maximum-quality Tidal Crafted weapon, trinket or necklace. Spend the first set on your weapon, because it gives the most throughput per upgrade for almost every spec, then your best trinket.
The crest cap was also lifted with the week of October 20 reset. If you were holding back because of the weekly cap, now is the time to max your Hero and Myth track items, since Venomstones need a fully upgraded item to work on.
Mythic+ in the second half of Season 2
Keystone Myth is back. Midnight Keystone Myth: Season 2 needs a Mythic+ rating of 3600 and rewards the title "the Venomous Contender" and the Timelost Saddle mount. Blizzard also tuned specific dungeons that were harder than the rest, so the pool should feel more even than in the first half of the season.
Because +10 keys and above drop Venomstones, Mythic+ is now one of the best sources of the new upgrade. The Mythic+ dungeons guide has routes and timer tips for the current pool.
Aqir Invasions
Aqir Invasions are new public events in Eversong Woods or Zul'Aman. For ten minutes every hour, the zone runs a chain of objectives and finishes with a boss fight. Each invasion picks from six scenario types, three combat and three non-combat, and combat scenarios roll one of eight affixes.
- Void Protection and Web Weavers add casters you need to kill or interrupt fast.
- Aqir Burrower, Void Sphere and Void Infestation punish standing still or bunching up.
- Swarms! and Aqir Elites swap the enemy mix for many weak or a few strong Aqir.
- Astalor's Anguish crystals hurt the Aqir and you, so stay out of their blast.
Rewards scale with how many objectives the zone finishes before the window closes, so it pays to join a busy group rather than solo a corner.
Class changes worth knowing
12.1.5 also shipped a solid round of class tuning. These are the changes most likely to affect what you play:
- Subtlety Rogue: Shadow damage modifiers were rebuilt to stop double-dipping, and all ability damage went up 14% to compensate.
- Marksmanship Hunter: Unload is gone, replaced by Blood Fletching, which rewards Aimed Shot critical strikes with a bleed window.
- Devourer Demon Hunter: cancelled Collapsing Star casts no longer trigger a 5-second cooldown, and the spell gets extra range once the cast starts.
- Protection Warrior: Execute damage up 30%; Colossus makes Execute and Revenge cost 10 less Rage.
- Restoration Druid: Nature's Bounty was redesigned so Regrowth also heals up to 3 allies with Rejuvenation.
Quality-of-life additions include player coordinates under the minimap, new dispel highlights for raid frames, higher recipe drop rates in Delves, catch-up Renown for Prey, and Legion and Battle for Azeroth reputations now shared across your Warband.
What to do first in 12.1.5
- Finish the Orin Straylight chain if you have not, and buy your extra Nebulous Voidcore every week.
- Spend crests now that the cap is gone and fully upgrade the items you plan to keep.
- Do the "The Promise of Tomorrow" campaign; it sets up the Kith'ix raid.
- Run +10 keys, Heroic raid and Tier 11 Bountiful Delves for Venomstones; put the first 10 into your weapon.
- Unlock the Labyrinth of Kindo'jan on your main so your whole Warband has it.
- Catch an Aqir Invasion at the top of the hour when you are logged in anyway.
