WoW Forever Legacy Challenges: All 65, Points & Rewards
Every WoW Forever Legacy Challenge, what each point is worth, the Spectral Bear rewards and the fastest route to 55 Legacy Points.
WoW Forever's Legacy Challenges are 65 one-time goals that pay out Legacy Points to your whole Battle.net account. Points unlock perk trees for your characters and a set of Spectral Bear rewards, ending with the Reins of the Spectral Bear mount at 55 points. Here is every category, what each point is worth and the fastest order to earn them after the November 4, 2026 launch.
What the Legacy System is
Legacy is account-wide progression with three parts: Legacy Challenges (the goals), Legacy Perks (talent-style trees you spend points in) and Legacy Rewards (collectibles at point milestones). Alts are optional: Blizzard designed it so everything can be unlocked on one character over time, but more classes and professions get you there faster.
You unlock the panel by earning your first Legacy Point, which for most players is the first character reaching level 25. Reaching skill 150 in a crafting profession or exploring the whole world map also unlocks it. Open it from the shield icon on the menu bar or with the Y key.
All 65 challenges by category
WoW Forever Legacy Challenges
| Category | Points | How you earn them |
|---|---|---|
| Classes | 27 | Reach level 25, 45 and 60 on each of the 9 classes |
| Tradeskills | 18 | Reach 150, 225 and 300 in each non-gathering profession (Alchemy, Blacksmithing, Enchanting, Engineering, Leatherworking, Tailoring) |
| PvP | 12 | Ranks 3, 7, 10, 13 and 14; Exalted with each battleground reputation; Field of Honor season journey weeks 4, 7 and 10 |
| Adventure | 2 | Explore the whole world map; finish the Lord Valthalak dungeon set questline |
| Dungeons | 3 | Defeat the final boss of every level 15-25, 26-45 and 46-60 dungeon |
| Raids | 3 | Defeat Onyxia, all 8 Barrow Deeps bosses and all 13 Hyjal Summit bosses |
Every challenge pays out once per account. Leveling a second Warrior to 60 does not pay again, but leveling a Mage does. That is why the Classes category, at 27 points, is the biggest single source.
Rewards and point thresholds
Blizzard named four launch rewards; three are exclusive to the Legacy System. Blizzard's article does not list the point cost of each one, so the numbers below are from beta data and should be treated as provisional.
Legacy Rewards at launch
| Points (beta data) | Reward | Type |
|---|---|---|
| 15 | Replica Ironforge Air Rifle | Toy |
| 25 | Spectral Bear Cub | Pet (Legacy exclusive) |
| 40 | Spectral Bear Tabard | Tabard (Legacy exclusive) |
| 55 | Reins of the Spectral Bear | Mount (Legacy exclusive) |
Beta reports say rewards are claimed from Innkeeper Wiley in Ratchet. Blizzard has said new rewards will be added with each content update, so 55 points is only the first target.
Legacy Perks: how points are spent
Points are shared across your account, but each character spends them separately across three perk trees: Professions, Adventure and Resourcefulness. At launch a character can spend at most 16 points, so even an account with 40 points gives each character 16 to spend. Earning more than 16 still matters for rewards and for future cap increases.
Fastest route to the Spectral Bear
A single character can collect up to 29 points by itself: 3 for leveling, 6 for two professions, 12 for PvP, 2 for Adventure and 6 for dungeons and raids. Reaching 55 needs about 26 more from alts and extra crafting. A practical order:
- Level your main to 60 and take two crafting professions to 300 (9 points).
- Clear the three dungeon brackets as you level and finish the map and the Valthalak chain (5 points).
- Raid Onyxia from day one of Phase 1 on December 9, then finish Barrow Deeps and Hyjal (3 points).
- Level alts of other classes at least to 25 and 45; each class pays 3 points by 60.
- Pick up PvP ranks and battleground Exalted reputations over the season (up to 12 points).
Classes and Tradeskills are the most predictable points because they do not depend on raid luck or PvP seasons. Two extra crafting professions on an alt add another 6 points.
Hardcore realms
Hardcore is not available at launch. When it arrives, challenges completed in Hardcore will count on all other rulesets, but not the other way around. Hardcore will get 12 challenges of its own in place of PvP, and its rewards are tracked separately.
What is still unconfirmed
- The exact reward thresholds (15, 25, 40, 55) and the claim NPC come from beta data, not Blizzard.
- Whether any challenge or reward is limited to a season. Blizzard only confirmed the 16-point launch cap.
- Whether beta testers' 16 Legacy Points carry over to live realms.

Frequently Asked Questions
How many Legacy Points do you need for the Spectral Bear mount?
Beta data puts the Reins of the Spectral Bear at 55 Legacy Points. Blizzard has named the mount as a launch reward but has not published its point cost, so check the in-game Legacy Rewards tab after launch.
Are Legacy Points account-wide in WoW Forever?
Yes. Points are earned on your Battle.net account and shared by all non-Hardcore characters. Each character still spends points separately in its own perk trees, up to 16 points at launch.
How do you unlock the Legacy System?
Earn your first Legacy Point, usually by reaching level 25 on any character. Reaching 150 in a crafting profession or exploring the whole world map also counts. Open it with the Y key.
How many Legacy Points can one character earn?
Blizzard says a single character can earn up to 29 points: 3 from leveling, 6 from professions, 12 from PvP, 2 from Adventure and 6 from dungeons and raids. Other classes and professions add the rest.
Do Hardcore challenges count for Legacy?
Challenges completed on Hardcore count for all other rulesets, but progress from normal realms does not count on Hardcore. Hardcore will have 12 challenges of its own instead of PvP.
