To farm Kinah efficiently in AION 2, compare what you keep after a run with what it costs. A large reward screen can include bound currency, materials you still need and items that have not sold. Start with one repeatable activity, record the result, then add another route only when it improves your income or character progression.

Kinah, Kina and bound currency

Kinah is also written as Kina in NC’s announcements. In its March 25 update, NC separated bound earnings from regular currency: quests, Duty rewards, NPC shops, Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds were listed as bound sources; player trading, monster hunting and Odyle Energy Cubes remained regular sources. NC’s dated currency update.

That announcement describes the version updated at the time. For your character, look at the actual reward label and the spending rule before comparing two activities. Do not count a bound reward as money available for a player-market purchase unless your game allows that use.

Separate earnings before choosing a farm

RewardHow to value itAvoid this mistake
Regular KinahCurrency you actually receive and can use for the purchase you needCombining it with restricted currency
Kinah (Bound)Useful savings on expenses that accept itCalling it tradable market income
Tradable lootCompleted sale proceeds after feesCounting the highest listing as a guaranteed sale
Materials you keepProgress toward your next upgrade or craftCounting the item as both sold income and retained gear

Choose a route for the character you have

A practical farming shortlist

RouteChoose it whenCheck its cost
Expedition reward claimsYou can finish the run repeatedly and want its currency or lootEnergy spent, consumables and failed attempts
Monster huntingYour route has useful drops and little downtimeTravel, interruptions and the reward actually received
Selling tradable dropsYou own an item other players are buyingFees, sale price and time until it sells
GatheringYou can collect a material with repeat demandTravel time and completed sales
CraftingA recipe has a margin at current input pricesIngredients, fees and possible outcomes
Bosses or eventsYou also want their progression rewardsWaiting time, eligibility and uncertain loot

This is a shortlist to test, not a measured fastest-farm ranking. A lower reward that you can claim reliably may beat a richer run with repeated failures. If you still need a drop for your build, decide whether keeping it is more useful than selling it.

Expeditions: compare the reward claim, not just the clear

For a dungeon route, choose one difficulty you can finish consistently. Track the time from preparing the run to sorting its rewards. Count resources spent on failed attempts as well as successful clears; otherwise the route will look more profitable than it is.

  1. Read the reward type and cost before the run.
  2. Decide whether the reward supports your next purchase, gear upgrade or collection goal.
  3. Complete the run and note what you actually claimed.
  4. Separate usable currency, kept materials and items intended for sale.
  5. Repeat a comparable run before changing to a harder difficulty.

NC’s July Chapter 1 update removed Expedition and Transcendence entry tickets and connected rewards to Odyle Energy. Use that as dated patch context, rather than applying an old ticket or weekly-cube rule to every server. Chapter 1 dungeon changes.

Keep enough Energy for a reward you need soon. Whether to claim now depends on the reward and your current resource supply; there is no universal rule to spend everything or save everything. Before a long break, check whether your resource can regenerate and whether it is already capped.

Market sales: turn a drop into received Kinah

Check an item’s trading status before comparing prices. Look at similar items and realistic sale prices, not only an unusually expensive listing. If the item is slow to sell, treat it as unsold inventory until the proceeds arrive.

  • Compare sale proceeds after fees with the value of keeping, crafting with or dismantling the item.
  • Keep a small reserve for the next planned upgrade instead of spending every profitable sale immediately.
  • Separate gathering stock from materials needed by your own character.
  • Recheck demand after an update; a formerly valuable item may have more supply or fewer buyers.

Crafting and gathering: calculate the margin first

For crafting, price every input you would consume, then compare the likely sale proceeds with the total cost. Materials you already own still have an alternative use or sale value. A recipe that saves money for your own gear can be worthwhile without being a strong selling business.

For gathering, record the amount collected in a short session, the travel time and the amount that actually sells. A common material with steady sales can be a better route than a rare item that sits in your inventory. Use the AION 2 professions guide to organize gathering and crafting goals.

Abyss, bosses and alts: add them for a reason

Treat an Abyss route as a combination of your PvP or progression goal and the rewards you receive. If travel, deaths or interruptions dominate the session, a familiar PvE route may be more useful. Keep Abyss Points separate from Kinah in your notes; an AP reward is not automatically a cash payment.

Boss and event loot can be a bonus, but one rare drop should not become your expected hourly income. Record waiting time and unsuccessful attempts. Choose these activities when you want their reward as well as any possible sale value.

An alt is useful only when it provides additional eligible rewards after shared limits and its own preparation costs. Check whether the activity limit belongs to the character or account before building another character. Improving one character’s reliable clears can be a better first investment than preparing several weak alts.

Calculate net Kinah per hour

Net Kinah per hour = (regular currency received + completed sale proceeds − fees and resources consumed) ÷ session minutes × 60. Keep bound currency, unsold loot and retained upgrades outside that cash total. This calculation compares your own routes without inventing a payout.

Worked example: hypothetical numbers only

EntryExampleTreatment
Regular Kinah received200,000Add to the cash total
Completed item sales300,000Add proceeds actually received
Fees and consumed resources100,000Subtract the cost
Session length30 minutesInclude preparation and failed attempts
Net result400,000 in 30 minutes = 800,000 per hourAn arithmetic example, not a game reward or earnings promise

A routine for a short session

  1. Name the next purchase or character upgrade you are funding.
  2. Choose one eligible activity and compare its displayed reward with its cost.
  3. Finish the session and sort rewards into currency, items to keep and items to sell.
  4. Record completed sales and expenses, then compare the result with the previous session.
  5. Stop or change routes when failures, waiting or unsold stock erase the benefit.

Use the daily and weekly checklist for activities that actually show reset limits in your version. Do not call every dungeon reward weekly or assume another character bypasses an account limit.

AION 2 Kinah farming FAQ

Kinah farming questions

What is the best way to make Kinah in AION 2?

Test a repeatable activity your character can finish, include its costs and compare completed sales. There is no verified universal hourly winner in this guide.

Are Kinah and Kina different currencies?

NC uses Kina in some English announcements. For spending and trading, the important distinction is whether the reward is regular or bound in your version.

Can I count bound currency as market income?

Keep it separate. It has value for expenses that accept it, but it should not be counted as tradable sale proceeds.

Do I need alts to farm efficiently?

No. Compare the extra eligible rewards with preparation time and shared account limits before making another farming character.

How much can I earn per hour?

Measure several comparable sessions. Include fees, consumed resources, waiting and failed attempts; exclude unsold items and hypothetical rare drops.

Does buying Kinah require my account login?

CFNBoost’s published delivery method is an Auction House item purchase. You need trading access and a tradable listing item, but account login is not required for this delivery service.
