AION 2 Empyrean Traces (Feathers): Collection Guide
Plan AION 2 Empyrean Traces with a collection checklist, map checks and travel loops. Separate Abyss Traces, pickup counts and completion targets.
Empyrean Traces, often called Feathers by players, are an exploration goal in AION 2. A good route combines nearby collection with the story and saves remote locations for a planned cleanup. Check the collection and Monolith panels on your own character before choosing a completion target: pickup counts, progression points and rewards should not be treated as interchangeable.
Check Your Character’s Collection Progress First
- Open the relevant collection or Monolith panel and identify the region or track you are progressing.
- Record the amount already collected and the next reward you want.
- Read whether the displayed requirement counts collectibles, points or a separate completion milestone.
- Check which locations are accessible through your current quests, travel routes and character progression.
- Plan only the remaining work rather than repeating locations you have already collected.
Feather Pickups, Trace Points and Order Quantity
Three numbers to keep separate
| Number | What it describes | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Collected locations | Markers already collected by your character | Use the character’s actual collection progress. |
| Progression points | The value shown by a reward track | Read the current conversion and milestone on that panel. |
| Service quantity | The amount chosen for a CFNBoost order | Match the requested collection work with your character’s remaining progress. |
Do not assume that 140 pickups always equal a 560-point completion, or that one map’s reward ladder applies to every regional client. Likewise, a service quantity of 560 is not evidence that every character or region has exactly 560 collectible locations. Clarify the target from the in-game panel before ordering.
A Route That Avoids Repeated Travel
A practical collection route
| Phase | What to do | Why it helps |
|---|---|---|
| While questing | Collect accessible markers near the route you already follow | Adds progress without repeated cross-map travel. |
| Regional sweep | Choose one unlocked area and work through small subzones | Makes completed areas and remaining gaps easier to track. |
| Final cleanup | Review missing markers against a map and your collection panel | Prevents returning to already collected locations. |
- Start from an unlocked travel point and group nearby markers.
- Mark a location only after your character’s progress confirms collection.
- Check height, caves and access routes when a marker appears close but cannot be seen.
- Return later if a quest or inaccessible area prevents collection; finish the accessible group first.
- Review remaining progress before beginning another full regional sweep.
Turn Your Feather Map Into a Collection Checklist
Use the map and collection track for your own client. Before following a marker, confirm whether it belongs to Empyrean Traces or a different collection such as Abyss Traces. Then group missing locations around the same travel point. The table below helps you organize a route that you can verify in your client.
Track one location at a time
| Field | What to record | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Client, server and collection | The exact track named in the progress panel | Keeps Empyrean and Abyss work separate. |
| Area and marker | The map label or a screenshot reference you can identify | Makes a return visit possible without guessing from a pickup total. |
| Access state | Accessible now, blocked, already collected or needs checking | Separates a missing pickup from an access problem. |
| Travel group | The nearby travel point or route segment | Lets you combine nearby work before making a long detour. |
| Before/after progress | The displayed unit and amount before and after pickup | Checks actual completion credit without assuming a fixed point conversion. |
- Choose one accessible area and mark only the locations still missing from that track.
- Group nearby markers into a single travel loop; keep blocked locations on a separate list.
- At each location, compare the collection panel before and after the attempt.
- If progress does not change, check the collection type and whether the location was already completed.
- At the end of the loop, record the remaining target and check any reward claim before starting another area.
For a broader cleanup, use the daily and weekly checklist to separate collection work from tasks that reset. Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds are separate completion goals; a collection marker does not prove that either activity is complete.
Choose a Useful Milestone Before Full Completion
Read the reward panel and decide whether your goal is a specific milestone or complete collection. This avoids spending the entire session on remote markers when another upgrade is more useful. Claim unlocked rewards when the client allows it, then review whether the next collection step still fits your character’s priorities.
The June and July publisher announcements added new-player support affecting collection progression and expanded regions with additional Monoliths. Check whether any available support has already completed part of your target before paying for the same work.
Empyrean Traces and Abyss Traces Orders
CFNBoost lists Empyrean Traces and the “Collect All 200 Abyss Traces” extra separately. The extra is optional; selecting an Empyrean quantity does not automatically include it. Confirm the character, eligible areas and exact remaining target with support if you are uncertain.
What the CFNBoost Empyrean Traces Service Includes
The current configurator offers quantities from 100 to 560 at $0.0446 per unit. This is the published service range, not a universal game-world completion cap. The checkout shows the rounded total, selected extras and any Express or Super Express charge before you place an order.
- Complete All Side Quests and Collect All 200 Abyss Traces are optional extras at $25 each.
- Complete All Sealed Dungeons and Completed All Strongholds are optional extras at $15 each.
- Only the extras selected in the order are included. Review existing character progress so you do not order already completed tasks.
- Collection requires access to your character; arrange the sessions with the assigned PRO and avoid logging in during those sessions.

Empyrean Traces FAQ
How many Feathers do I need?
Choose a goal from your character’s collection or Monolith panel. The guide does not promise a fixed pickup-to-point conversion for every region. CFNBoost’s current service range is 100–560 units.
Should I collect every marker while leveling?
Collect accessible markers near your existing route. Save long detours and inaccessible areas for a planned cleanup after the relevant routes unlock.
Does the service include Abyss Traces?
Only when the separate Collect All 200 Abyss Traces extra is selected. Review the checkout summary before paying.
Are all Side Quests, Sealed Dungeons and Strongholds included?
They are separate optional extras. An Empyrean Traces quantity alone does not include them.
Can a returning-player feature change the work I need?
Check active support features and your current completion panel. Publisher updates have included collection support, so some tasks may already be completed.
Where can I track an order?
After payment confirmation, use your customer dashboard. The order chat becomes available when a PRO is assigned.
Does this guide include a verified map of every Feather location?
It explains how to plan your route from the collection track and your regional client map. Use your regional client’s map and collection panel, identify the exact track and record accessible missing locations. Abyss Traces and Empyrean Traces should not be combined into one assumed total.
