Rainbow Six Siege Ranked rewards a clear round plan, useful information and decisions your team can act on. A rank target, a set of wins and a coaching session are different ways to approach progression. This guide explains the current Ranked system, gives you a practical review routine and helps you choose the published CFNBoost package that matches your goal.

Check Ranked Access Before Choosing a Package

Ubisoft’s Free Access page says Ranked requires a premium offer and progression to level 50. Being able to enter a free playlist does not by itself establish Ranked access. Open the Ranked tile on your own account and check any remaining access or verification requirements before arranging matches. Ubisoft’s access overview.

Our Ranked services expect the mode to be available already. Buying placement matches or a rank climb does not upgrade your game edition, complete missing account requirements or turn a restricted playlist into an available one. Resolve the lock shown in the game before choosing a match-based package.

Start With the Five Placement Matches

Ranked 3.0 uses five placement matches at the start of each season to establish your starting rank. Read your remaining counter rather than assuming you need a full set again. Ubisoft’s Ranked 3.0 explanation.

The Rainbow Six Siege Placement Matches service covers 1–5 matches, with a previous-rank selection or Unranked when you have no previous rank. Pick the number you still need. The package completes the selected matches; it does not promise that every match will be won or that you will finish in a named division.

Ubisoft says players cannot place directly into Champion; that rank is intended to reflect sustained performance beyond placements. Treat the starting result as the beginning of your next climb, rather than judging the whole season by one short set of games. Read the developer’s Ranked clarification.

Understand RP Without Relying on Old Hidden-MMR Advice

Ranked 3.0 removed hidden MMR and uses Rank Points for matchmaking. RP gains and losses depend on the result and relative team rank balance, so a win does not always mean the same points gain. Check the post-match report instead of multiplying every planned win by a fixed number. Ubisoft’s RP and matchmaking rules.

KDA is not a factor in rank progression. Ubisoft highlights support, information and utility as important contributions alongside eliminations. Use kills as one clue when reviewing a round, not as the only definition of whether you helped the team. A useful callout or saved piece of utility can matter even when it is not the headline number on the scoreboard.

Check Squad Eligibility and Keep Backup Operators

After placements, Copper-to-Emerald players can group within three full ranks; Diamond and Champion have a two-rank limit. Placements do not use those squad restrictions. Check the actual party before planning Self-play matches. A service selection cannot override the queue’s eligibility rules. Ubisoft’s squad restrictions.

Ubisoft’s roadmap marks native mouse-and-keyboard support on consoles as released, with those players matched against PC players. Select your real platform and check the input pool you are entering. Do not assume a platform label alone describes every crossplay situation. Read the official roadmap.

Prepare more than one operator for the job you want to do. Choose by what the round needs: opening a route, gathering information, watching a flank or delaying entry. Keep a backup that lets you contribute if your first choice is unavailable. Avoid changing your entire operator pool after one difficult match.

Build Map Knowledge With a Repeatable Round Plan

Ubisoft recommends Clear House and Landmark drills as tools for learning maps. Use a quiet practice session to connect room names, stairs and likely entry routes before expecting yourself to recognize them under pressure. The developer’s map-learning advice.

  • Pick one map and one objective to study, rather than trying to memorize every setup at once.
  • Trace an entry route and a fallback route. Practise the room names you would use in a callout.
  • On attack, decide what information you need before entering and who can act on it.
  • On defense, decide what your position protects and how you will leave it if the pressure changes.

Keep communication short enough for a teammate to use: location, what you saw and where the threat was moving. Separate a confirmed observation from a guess. When reviewing a lost round, find the earliest decision you could improve rather than starting and ending with the final gunfight.

Compare Rank Boost, Net Wins and Champion RP

The Rank Boost service covers the current-to-target climb you select, with choices from Copper through Champion I. Ranked must already be available. It is a division goal, rather than a promise to finish an arbitrary number of games, and does not include account leveling or other access requirements.

The Ranked Wins service sells 1–5 net wins in the selected current-rank bracket through Diamond I. Net wins means wins minus losses: three wins and one loss are two net wins. This package does not include a named final rank, a K/D target or a particular reward. Use the rank service if the division itself is your goal.

For accounts already at Champion I with at least 4,900 RP, Champion RP & Legend Division has a separate Champion route for 50–1,500 additional RP in steps of 50. Choose the bracket that matches your recent RP per win. Those are the published package conditions, not a rule that every player gains the same RP in every match.

Keep Legend Division Separate From a Champion Climb

Operation Split Fire describes Legend as a separate SoloQ-only playlist with eligibility including current Champion, Platinum in the previous season, positive reputation and completed security requirements. It opens mid-season. Check the in-game playlist and eligibility before treating it as available to your account. Ubisoft’s Legend Division description.

The Legend route in our elite service covers 1–5 wins and requires playlist access already. It is Piloted only; Champion RP supports both Piloted and Self-play. A Legend win package does not promise a Top 100 position or leaderboard reward. The two routes share a service page, but their units and participation choices are different.

At this October 15 review, Ubisoft’s roadmap still labels Legend Division “Scheduled [Mid-season]”. That status is not confirmation of an open playlist. Use the live game as the availability check; a published package is not evidence that the event window has begun. Check the current roadmap status.

Use Coaching to Work on Decisions You Can Repeat

Our Rainbow Six Siege Coaching offers 1–20 hours covering operator use, positioning, round decisions, map awareness and communication. You play on your own account while the coach gives feedback. Bring one clear question, such as why your entry route keeps failing or when to stop holding a position. The scope is the selected coaching time, not a guaranteed rank increase.

Before the session, identify one recent round that captures the problem and explain what you were trying to do. Ask for one change you can practise afterwards, then repeat it in your own matches. A short session with a specific question is easier to apply than a request to fix every part of your play at once.

Rank Boost, Placements, Ranked Wins and Champion RP offer Piloted or Self-play, with Self-play adding 20% to the Piloted package. Coaching is already a session you attend and has no extra Self-play charge. Choose the actual method shown for the selected route; the Legend SoloQ exception remains Piloted only.

Check Dated Changes Before Copying an Old Setup

Ubisoft published Y11S3 mid-season Designer’s Notes on October 15, covering changes involving Noor, Tachanka, Solid Snake and other operators. This dated announcement helps you identify advice that may need revisiting; it is not, by itself, proof that a change is already deployed in your client. Check the live version before relying on an exact gadget interaction. Read the latest Designer’s Notes.

Use the Rainbow Six Siege catalogue to compare the complete package in your selected display currency. Keep the goal specific: matches, a rank, net wins, additional RP or coaching time. Match the current account state and included work rather than assuming one package silently contains every other step.

Rainbow Six Siege Ranked Questions

Choose your next Ranked step

How many placement matches are in Ranked 3.0?

Five at the start of a season. Check how many remain on your own account before selecting a package.

Does Siege still use the old hidden-MMR system?

Ranked 3.0 removed hidden MMR and uses RP for matchmaking. Use current rules rather than an older Ranked 2.0 explanation.

Can placements put me straight into Champion?

No. Ubisoft says Champion requires sustained progression beyond placement matches.

Do three net wins mean exactly three matches?

No. Net wins are wins minus losses. A loss requires another win to recover before the chosen net total is reached.

Can I choose Self-play for Legend Division?

No. The published Legend win route is Piloted only because it uses a solo-queue playlist. Champion RP is a separate route with Self-play available.

Does coaching include account control or a rank guarantee?

No. You keep control of your account, attend the selected hours and receive feedback. A particular rank or win total is not included.
